I scoured the internet for years in search of research and studies on adult survivors of life threatening abuse perpetrated by their parents. I always came up empty handed. Admittedly, I used ChatGPT for this purpose - to compile any associated research. In this instance, I used it to confirm my own findings, and present it in a more digestible and organized format. All of it falls short of addressing the dynamics we (and other Filicide Survivors) have grown up in. The app also identified these stories as available on Reddit on occasion, with the survivors reporting the same thoughts and feelings of isolation with which we struggled. A reported unifying complaint is the lack of a group with similar experiences for understanding.
